War Machine is a World of Warcraft Alliance guild on the Frostmourne realm. It consists of all aged players focused on end-game raiding and pvp’ing while also enjoying the other activities Azeroth has to offer.

Our long-term goal is to run all of the end-game instances. Our strategy for achieving that goal includes:

• Gearing our current Guildies
• Recruiting new members
• Obtaining the best gear possible

At present we are focused on gearing our new guild members in 25 NAXX while our core raiding group continues with 10 Ulduar. Once this goal is achieved we will proceed to take guild members to 25 Ulduar and future end-game raids.

We have an organised, maintained and easy-to-use website which allows us to track our progress as a guild and keep our efforts focused on moving forward. We also have a Ventrilo server, 6 TAB GB and the usual extras.

Members are encouraged to contribute to the guild bank where they feel nessassary (Generally, if you take an item out, put something of equal value back in). Any donations to the guild bank help dramatically with potions, repair bills ect while the guild is raiding.

We try to maintain a friendly, helpful guild atmosphere free from unnecessary stress and drama. We do not tolerate comments that are meant to belittle or degrade other players.

We have a firm set of looting rules that cover a wide variety of looting situations and which should prevent most forms of loot drama.

Our officers are committed to trying to resolve disputes fairly after hearing from all parties. Finally, check out some Guild Activities. Chick, chick Kara-boom anyone?

So we have a new patch thats just gone live. What a huge patch it is as well.

We have new dungeons / raids
Trial of the Champion (5-player) normal mode: Item level 200
Trial of the Champion (5-player) Heroic mode: Item level 213
Trial of the Crusader (10-player) normal mode: Item level 232
Trial of the Crusader (25-player) normal mode: Item level 245
Trial of the Grand Crusader (10-player) Heroic mode: Item level 245
Trial of the Grand Crusader (25-player) Heroic mode: Item level 258

Wintergrasp is now a queable BG

Soulbound items won in raids are now tradeable.

Battleground experance has arrived!

Dungeon and Raid ID Extensions
In order to allow for parties and raids to progress through instances at their own pace, players can now extend an instance ID on an individual basis.

Existing or recently expired IDs can be extended via the Social tab under Raid by clicking on Raid Info.

The ID of any instance to which a player is saved can be extended. Doing so will extend the instance lock period by the same amount of time as the original lock (i.e. extending an Ulduar instance ID will add 7 days, a Heroic: Halls of Lightning instance ID will add 24 hours, and a Zul'Gurub instance ID will add 3 days to the instance lock time).

An ID can be extended more than once.

An extension can be reversed on an individual basis provided the player does not do anything in the instance during the extended instance lock period that would save that player to the instance.

Item Comparisons
Holding the shift key while hovering over an item will now display the stat differences with the item currently equipped in the relevant slot.

Item Level
A new option has been added under Display in the Interface Options to show the item level on item tooltips.

Jewelcrafting
Dragon's Eye gems stat bonuses increased. In addition, these gems are no longer prismatic and must be matched to the appropriate colored socket to activate an item's socket bonus.

New recipes have been added for cutting epic gems and can be purchased using Dalaran Jewelcrafter's tokens.

Icy Prism now has a chance of yielding an epic gems.

Raw epic gems can be obtained via the following means:

Prospecting Titanium Ore
Alchemy transmutations
Purchased with honor
Purchased with Emblems of Heroism

Along with many, many other additions including tier 8 gear from doing Heroic Dungeons!

STV RAID / For The Alliance

All right guys,

Well our first full blown guild raid on STV / For The Alliance is on tonight, as per calendar invites. If you have not received this invite please PST a GoW or a Guild Officer. So for those of you who are not familiar with the event I've made a post in the General Raid Forum (See direct link below. The post shows how to do "For The Alliance"). I think for tonight we will aim to do Cairne Bloodhoof in Thunder Bluff.

Other events we are considering holding are;

All for 1 and 1 for all STV Arena match.
10vs10 STV Arena matches - Prizes TBA
Raid either The Horde ship in icecrown, Raid the front of Ulduar or NAXX.

Ulduar

The only quarter War Machine have left until Yogg-Saron is The Keepers of Ulduar. This quarter includes Mimiron, Freya, Thorim and Hodir. I believe this is a great achievement for War Machine to of made it this far and want to congratulate and thank everyone for their efforts in Ulduar. They say Ulduar is the guild breaker and it looks like War Machine has stood the test of time.

Guild strats will be updated in due course for this quarter. We will be attempting this quarter once we down Auriaya or The Assembly of Iron in the following week or two.
